Mission Statements
Milton UMC Mission Statement
A church should not be measured by its size, but by its heart; by how it serves the world-wide community, by how it shares God’s message of love, hope and grace, and by its discipleship to the lost and disconnected from Jesus Christ.
Our scriptural base is: Ephesians 4:12, “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”
Mission: Meet the Needs of the People Where They Are At
Vision:
- The cornerstone of our church is based on the Bible, Prayer and Relationships with God and one another
- We intend to reach the unchurched with the Good News of Jesus Christ
- We intend for our ministry to be offered with a diversity of options
- We intend to evolve with the times, remain open to new and developing cultures, while remaining faithful to the teachings of Christ as given to us in Scripture
- We intend to equip the people with a faith that equips them for life
- We intend to equip the people to go out into the world teaching and ministering in the name of Christ.
