Communion Services
Sacrament of Holy Communion at Milton UMC
Milton United Methodist Church serves Holy Communion the first Sunday of every month and during certain holiday – or Holy Day – celebrations. Holy Communion is Eucharist, an act of thanksgiving. Early Christians “broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people” (Acts 2:46-47a).
When we join together in Holy Communion we come together as a community. We strive to set aside our differences and to celebrate the things we have in common. Holy Communion is our remembering that Christ is risen and is alive. We remember that he is here and now, present among us.
Our Communion Table is open to all members, all visitors and all ages. Come join us as we break bread and drink together giving thanks to our God, in Jesus Christ.
