Milton United Methodist Church sponsors several programs specifically for children and young families:

Preschool for 3-year-olds

Morning wrap-around care for Pre-K students

After-school program for Northside Intermediate School students

All are open to the community

Preschool for 3-year-olds

Beginning in the fall of 2018, we will offer both morning and afternoon sessions.

Morning session: 9 to 11:45 a.m.

Afternoon session: 12:30-3 p.m.

Both classes will run Tuesdays through Fridays.

Children may attend either three or four days a week.

A $40 registration fee reserves a place for your child and helps cover the cost of classroom supplies. Tuition for 2018-19 is $150 a month for attending four days a week and $140 a month for attending three days a week. Payment by automatic check withdrawal is available.

Wrap-around care for Pre-K students

We offer wrap-around care for Pre-K age students for 4 half days plus 1 full day each week during the school year. Full day care is Monday 7a to 3:30p, and half days are Tuesday through Friday, from 7a to approximately 12:10p.

A $40 registration fee and registration form must be submitted to Milton UMC.

Wrap around care is offered for $110 for 4 half days plus 1 full day each week during the school year. Students will need to bring a daily bagged lunch to be eaten before transportation to the Milton School District Pre-K program. Care is NOT provided on no-school days.

Enrolled students will also need to register for busing with the Milton School District for transportation from the Milton Preschool Learning Center to the 4K Program located at Small Wonders (880 McEwan Lane).

After-school program for Northside students

Affordable after-school care for Northside Intermediate Students will be offered beginning this fall.

Care hours are 3:45 to 5:45pm (no care on early-release or no-school days)

Cost is $7 per day; minimum 3 days per week

Supervised by trained staff; approx. 1:15 ratio. Games and activities, snack, Wi-Fi for homework. $25 registration fee.

Curriculum info for preschool program for 3-year-olds

A typical preschool day includes fun learning activities, circle and story time, art, music and movement, free choice and snack.

Outside play (weather permitting)

Field trips

Preschool students usually have 2-3 field trips during the year. There is a minimal additional cost for field trips to cover transportation.

School calendar

The preschool follows the Milton School District calendar.

For the 2018-2019 calendar, click here. If the Milton School District Elementary Schools are not in session, Milton Preschool Learning Center will have the day off as well.

Closings due to bad weather

If the Milton School District is closed due to weather, we will be closed as well. When Milton Public Schools have a delayed start, neither preschool session will be held. Listen to the following radio station or watch the listed TV channels for Milton School District closing information.
