A New Kind of Worship Community

Chin-gyo (친교(親交) in Korean) literally means close friendship. It is the term used in Korean Christianity to denote the act of making relationships, feeling known, and sharing. The Chin-gyo Collective is more than a service. It’s a space where we meet God and each other in real ways—through prayer, Scripture, teaching, praise, and sharing life together.

We’re not tied to worship styles or trends. Instead, we focus on the basic elements of worship together as a community:
✨ Prayer | 📖 Scripture | 🎶 Praise | 🍞 Sharing Life

Our heartbeat is authenticity—building genuine relationships with one another and, most importantly, with God through Jesus Christ.

❓ FAQ

Do I have to attend the 9AM worship during the 2 and 4th Sundays?

You are encouraged to but please do not feel burdened to (unless you have decided to really follow Jesus). We don’t become better Christians by coming to worship consistently but when we are genuine followers of Jesus, we will want to come to worship even if it does not fit our time or our style. Come to whatever fits you in your current faith journey. It took the pastor to be in ministry 5 years to take following Jesus seriously, so, really, no judgement.

Can I just come for the discussion?

Yes! The Collective is about connection—you’re welcome at any part.

Do I need to bring food?

No our leaders and the pastor’s family sponsor meals. We just ask that you fill out this form to let us know you are coming.

What about my children?

Your children are welcome! We believe in literally growing together in faith as a family. Families come to the worship service together and the pastor will lead a children’s lesson after the singing. Then, the children will go with our Sunday School Coordinator to study the lesson in more depth and have related crafts and activities. During the time of discussion, the children are more than welcome to stay or there will be childcare provided. There is a separate discussion table for the youth should they wish to talk about what is more relevant to them.

How large of a group is this?

We are a small group (a little over 10 or so adults and 10 children/youth on a given Sunday as of 2025). If you like small intimate groups or need a break from large churches, this expression of worship may be for you!
